1. Data Controller

The data controller is Celtum Web S.r.l., with registered office at Via Bernardo Quaranta 45, 20141 Milan (MI), Italy, VAT number 14850840969.

The website is hosted on a privately owned server located in the Netherlands. The technical infrastructure may process data necessary for the operation of the platform, security, and prevention of abuse.

2. Who may use WeMet.club

WeMet.club is reserved exclusively for persons who are at least 18 years old. Registration with and use of the platform by minors are prohibited.

If WeMet.club becomes aware of an account attributable to a minor, the account may be suspended or deleted and the data may be removed, without prejudice to any retention obligations or needs relating to the protection of the platform, users, or third parties.

3. Types of data processed

WeMet.club may process the following categories of personal data, depending on the features used by the user:

• identification and registration data, such as username, email address, encrypted password, date of birth, or declaration of legal age;
• profile data, such as gender, declared orientation, personal description, preferences, location, relationship status, and information voluntarily entered by the user;
• images, photos, avatars, cover images, published content, posts, comments, advertisements, events, or other materials uploaded by the user;
• interaction data, such as messages, contact requests, preferences, likes, blocks, reports, feedback, and activity within the community;
• data relating to profile verification, where provided for or requested by the user;
• data relating to PASS subscriptions and payments;
• technical data, such as IP address, access logs, user agent, device data, session identifiers, date and time of activities;
• data collected or verified through security, anti-spam, and automated verification tools, such as Google reCAPTCHA, Cloudflare Turnstile, and StopForumSpam, including IP address, email address, username, and technical data necessary to prevent abusive registrations;
• data relating to support requests, reports, complaints, or communications sent to Staff;
• data relating to newsletter consent or other informational/promotional communications managed through the internal system.

4. Special categories of data voluntarily provided by the user

WeMet.club is an adult and open-minded community. Consequently, some information voluntarily entered by users in their profile, published content, images, messages, or interactions may reveal or allow inferences regarding the user's sex life, personal preferences, sexual orientation, or intimate sphere.

Such data are not required as a mandatory condition for the technical use of the platform, but may be freely provided by the user as part of their experience within the community.

When the user voluntarily chooses to publish or communicate such information, the processing takes place in order to enable operation of the platform, profile management, interaction with other users, moderation, community security, and provision of the requested services.

Where the processing concerns data relating to sex life or sexual orientation that the user voluntarily chooses to provide through the dedicated fields of their profile, WeMet.club obtains the data subject's explicit consent in advance pursuant to Article 9(2)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Providing such information is optional, and failure to consent does not prevent use of platform features that do not require processing of such data.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.

Users are advised not to publish data, images, or information that they do not wish to make visible to other users or that could compromise their privacy.

5. Purposes of processing

Users' personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

• creation and management of the account;
• access to the platform and user authentication;
• management of personal, couple, club, or other permitted profiles;
• publication of content, images, posts, advertisements, events, and interactions;
• sending and receiving messages and communications between users;
• management of community features;
• profile verification and prevention of fake profiles;
• management of PASS subscriptions and payments;
• technical assistance and user support;
• sending service communications;
• sending newsletters or promotional communications through the internal system, subject to consent where required;
• content moderation and enforcement of the Community Rules;
• prevention of abuse, spam, automated or fraudulent registrations, fraud, unauthorized access, or unlawful conduct;
• IT security and protection of the platform;
• compliance with legal, tax, accounting obligations or requests from competent authorities;
• statistical analysis of website use through Google Analytics, where permitted.

6. Legal bases for processing

Personal data are processed on the basis of one or more of the following legal bases:

• performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, to allow registration, access, and use of WeMet.club services;
• user consent, where required, for example for newsletters, non-technical cookies, or analytics tools for which consent is the applicable legal basis;
• the user's explicit consent pursuant to Article 9(2)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, for processing data relating to sex life or sexual orientation that the user voluntarily chooses to provide through platform fields and features for which such consent is required;
• the controller's legitimate interest, to ensure security, prevent abuse, carry out moderation, protect the community, and defend its rights;
• legal obligation, to comply with tax, accounting, administrative rules or requests from competent authorities.

Where processing concerns special categories of personal data, the legal basis under Article 6 of the Regulation is accompanied, where necessary, by one of the specific conditions provided for in Article 9 of the Regulation. The controller's legitimate interest does not replace the conditions specifically required by Article 9 for processing special categories of data.

The user may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

7. Registration and account management

To create an account on WeMet.club, the user must provide the information requested in the registration form. The data are used to create the account, allow access to the platform, identify the profile within the community, manage settings, notifications, and preferences, prevent abusive registrations, spam or unauthorized use, and ensure compliance with the age limit and community rules.

The user is responsible for the accuracy of the data provided and the confidentiality of their login credentials.

8. Profiles, photos, content, and public interactions

Information published by the user in their profile or in visible areas of the platform may be accessible to other registered users or, where provided for, also to unregistered visitors.

By way of example, the following may be visible: username, profile and cover photo, profile description, gender or profile type, indicated location or geographical area, published content, events, posts, comments or public interactions, profile verification status, and any information relating to the PASS subscription if displayed by the platform.

The user must avoid publishing third-party personal data, unauthorized images, unnecessary sensitive data, or content contrary to the Community Rules.

9. Private messages, chat, calls, and moderation

WeMet.club provides users with private messaging, chat and, where available, audio and video communication tools. The related data and content are processed to enable communications, ensure service security, protect users, and enforce the platform rules.

Private messaging and chats are subject to WeMet.club's security and moderation procedures. Access to the content of private conversations by authorized personnel occurs where necessary to investigate reports, risk or abuse indicators, suspected violations of the Terms of Use or Community Rules, harassment, spam, scams, illegal or non-consensual content, risks to user safety, or to comply with legal obligations or requests from competent authorities.

WeMet.club does not carry out indiscriminate and continuous reading of all private conversations. Access by Staff is limited to specifically authorized persons and to the information necessary for the specific verification, security, or moderation activity.

For audio calls and video calls, the technical data necessary for operation, security, and management of the service may be processed. Where reports, anomalies, or suspected violations exist, WeMet.club may carry out the technically available checks and adopt the measures provided for in the Terms of Use and the Community Rules.

Given the nature of the platform, messages, chats, and other interactions may contain information voluntarily communicated by users relating to their personal sphere, sex life, or sexual orientation. Processing of such information takes place as described in the sections of this Privacy Policy concerning special categories of data, purposes, and legal bases for processing.

Publishing or disseminating private conversations, screenshots, data, images, or other content received privately without the authorization of the persons concerned is prohibited, except where permitted or required by law.

10. Profile verification

WeMet.club may provide profile verification tools to increase trust and safety within the community. Verification may involve the processing of data or content voluntarily provided by the user, in accordance with the methods indicated by the platform at the time of the request.

Data used for verification are processed exclusively to confirm the authenticity of the profile, prevent fake profiles, protect users, and improve community security.

Verification does not constitute an absolute guarantee regarding the user's identity or future conduct and may be removed in the event of a rule violation.

11. PASS subscription and payments

WeMet.club may offer additional features through a PASS subscription or other paid services. Payments are managed through an external payment processor.

WeMet.club does not store full payment card details, except for any minimum information necessary for administrative, accounting, anti-fraud, or support purposes. The transaction identifier, amount, payment status, payment date, purchased service, any customer or payment identifier provided by the processor, and tax or accounting data where necessary may be retained.

The payment processor processes data in accordance with its own privacy notice and terms of service.

12. Newsletters and communications

WeMet.club may send users email communications for service, security, account management, important notifications, or platform update purposes.

Subject to consent, WeMet.club may also send newsletters, promotional communications, updates, invitations, or informational content. The newsletter service is managed through an internal system and not through external email marketing platforms, unless future changes are made and indicated in this notice.

The user may withdraw newsletter consent at any time through the unsubscribe link included in emails, where available, or by writing to privacy@celtumweb.com. Withdrawal of newsletter consent does not prevent the sending of technical or service communications necessary for account management.

13. Security, technical logs, and abuse prevention

To protect the platform and its users, WeMet.club may process technical data and usage logs. Such data may include:

• IP address;
• date and time of access;
• user agent;
• device and browser used;
• pages visited;
• actions performed on the platform;
• login attempts;
• security events;
• reports and blocks.

These data are used to prevent unauthorized access, spam, fraud, abusive conduct, violations of the Community Rules, and technical issues.

During registration, WeMet.club may carry out automated anti-spam and anti-abuse checks using data such as IP address, email address, and username. These checks are intended to identify automated, abusive registrations or registrations attributable to persons already reported for spam activity.

For these purposes, some technical or identifying data entered during registration may be compared with databases or external services specializing in spam prevention, such as StopForumSpam. The check is used exclusively for security, abuse prevention, and community protection purposes.

14. Anti-spam tools, Google reCAPTCHA, Cloudflare Turnstile, and StopForumSpam

WeMet.club may use technical tools and external services to protect forms, registrations, logins, or other areas of the platform from spam, bots, automated registrations, fraud, and abuse.

These tools may include Google reCAPTCHA, Cloudflare Turnstile, and anti-spam verification services such as StopForumSpam.

These tools may process or verify users' technical and identifying data, such as IP address, device information, browser, browsing behavior, email address, username, and other elements necessary to distinguish a real user from an automated system or a potentially abusive registration.

The processing is carried out for security, abuse prevention, and platform protection purposes. In the case of external services, the data necessary for verification may be transmitted to the relevant service provider, in accordance with the respective privacy notices and applicable terms.

15. Google Analytics

WeMet.club uses Google Analytics to collect statistical information on use of the website. Google Analytics may collect data relating to pages visited, session duration, device used, browser, approximate geographical area, browsing events, and traffic source.

Google Analytics is used in compliance with applicable law and, where required, subject to the user's consent through the cookie banner. For more information on the cookies and tracking tools used, the user may consult the Cookie Policy.

16. Data recipients and technical providers

Personal data may be processed by persons authorized by WeMet.club and by external providers that support operation of the platform. By way of example, data may be processed by:

• personnel or collaborators authorized by the controller;
• hosting, technical infrastructure, and server maintenance providers, without prejudice to the fact that the main server is located in the Netherlands;
• technical email providers, if used for operational sending of messages;
• payment processors;
• analytics services;
• anti-spam and security services, including Google reCAPTCHA, Cloudflare Turnstile, and StopForumSpam;
• technical, legal, tax, or administrative consultants;
• public, judicial, or administrative authorities where required by law.

Where necessary, such parties act as processors, independent controllers, or authorized persons, as provided for by applicable law.

17. International data transfers

The data controller is established in Italy. User data may be processed in other countries of the European Economic Area and, where necessary, in third countries where technical providers or services used by the platform are located.

The main server hosting the website is privately owned and located in the Netherlands. Where data are transferred outside the European Economic Area, WeMet.club adopts the safeguards required by applicable law, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or other appropriate measures.

18. Data retention

Personal data are retained for the time necessary to provide the service, manage the account, comply with legal obligations, protect the platform, and safeguard the rights of the controller or users. In general:

• account data are retained for as long as the account is active;
• published content is retained for as long as the user keeps it online or the account remains active;
• payment-related data are retained for the period required by tax, accounting, or administrative obligations;
• newsletter data are retained until consent is withdrawn or the user unsubscribes;
• technical, security, and anti-spam logs are retained for the period necessary to ensure security, prevent abuse, counter fraudulent registrations, and protect the platform;
• data relating to reports, disputes, or violations may be retained for the time necessary to handle the report and protect the rights involved.
• records relating to consent given and withdrawn are retained for the period necessary to document the lawfulness of processing and manage any disputes, in accordance with applicable law;

In the event of a request to delete the account, WeMet.club will delete or anonymize the data, except for data that must be retained for legal or tax obligations, security, abuse prevention, disputes, or protection of rights.

19. User rights

The user may exercise the rights provided for by applicable personal data protection law. In particular, the user may request:

• access to their personal data;
• rectification of inaccurate data;
• deletion of data, where provided for;
• restriction of processing;
• objection to processing;
• data portability, where applicable;
• withdrawal of consent, where processing is based on consent;
• information on the parties processing data on behalf of the controller.

Where applicable, consent may also be withdrawn through the tools made available in the account settings. Withdrawal must be as easy as giving consent and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Requests may be sent to privacy@celtumweb.com. WeMet.club may request additional information to verify the identity of the requester before proceeding.

20. Complaint to the supervisory authority

The user has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent personal data protection supervisory authority if they believe that processing of their data infringes applicable law.

For users residing in Italy, the competent authority is the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali.

21. Data security

WeMet.club adopts technical and organizational measures aimed at protecting personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure, or misuse.

However, no IT system can guarantee absolute security. Users are advised to use strong passwords, not share their credentials, and promptly report any suspicious access or unauthorized use of their account.

22. Changes to the Privacy Policy

WeMet.club may amend this Privacy Policy to adapt it to regulatory, technical, organizational changes or changes relating to the services offered.
